High Plains Children’s Home and Family Services Foundation, Inc. serves the needs of children and adults with special needs throughout the area. They do this with residential childcare, the emergency youth shelter, and an independent living community for adults with special needs.
Their residential childcare program focuses on providing children with a natural home environment where they can build relationships, grow, and thrive. Each home is looked after by well-trained houseparents who raise the children with strong Christian values and prepare them for the world. Children come from the Texas Panhandle, Northeastern New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Kansas and have the opportunity to live with up to seven other kids. The emergency shelter is available 24 hours a day and can house up to 16 children at a moment’s notice.
We are glad to have had the opportunity to be a part of the mission of High Plains Children’s Home! Visit their website to learn more about supporting their cause.
